I present to you three psychopathologically compulsive bloggers who (coincidentally?) have arrived at very similar conclusions about the nature of the world we live in:
1. Darryl Mason,
2. Winter Patriot, and
3. My good self.
All three have multiple blogs and blog compulsively on international political issues. All three enjoy minimal public support and/or recognition.
So I ask you...
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?
I'm not sure about Darryl -- or you for that matter -- but I do know what's wrong with me:
ReplyDeleteIt's environmental.
I'm allergic to bullshit. And I'm surrounded by it. So every now and then I take a break from real life and slay some of it.
I haven't done it for my whole life, but I started doing it a long time before I started blogging. But in those days, rather than writing about it, I might punch a wall, or throw a chair, or something like that.
I don't do that anymore. Blogging is a lot healthier for me, and for the people around me. And if my blogs make the world a better place -- even if only a little bit better -- then that's a bonus.
Heh. I remember as a young man one day declaring, "That's it - no more bullshit!"
ReplyDeleteI quit my job the same day and worked to get every kind of bullshit out of my life, but within a week I realised it's impossible: it's not just the nature of the world we live in, it's also in our own nature!
