The Checkered Flag
It's not the first time I've crossed the finishing line, but this time I can see a flag waving up ahead for my old friend Winter Patriot. I think it's a sign!
It's also a sign of how far we have come. Bush, Blair and Howard, the principal architects of the Iraq War, will be remembered throughout history with ignominy. There is still much to be done, but not here on this blog.
I'm going back to writing my book, as long promised.

Well! I go on holiday and you quit blogging again. Saw my dad's ashes interred in the military cemetery in Arlington yesterday. Being back in he U.S. for the first time in more than two years, I was struck by what a police state it has become. And here I whinge about the authoritarian nature of the speed cameras in the city by the bay! Nothing like he bullet-headed, sidearm-strapping, unmarked-car-driving thugs who are omnipresent here. But more of Bukko's ramblings on the state of the States later. Back in 10 days. I'll check from time to time to see if you've resumed. And if you really do manage to stay quitovated this time, in the words of the Prius ad, "Have a good future!"
Sorry about your Dad, Bukko. Much love.
I'm ****ed with blogging. Too much work for too little reward, too many associated problems and too little time left over for the important stuff.
Either our Western civilisation becomes less apathetic, or else we surrender the agenda to more energetic forces. Does it really matter, in the long run, who dictates the evening news?
This war has got to stop. America's best in what she has to offer are being killed daily. America will never realize their full potential ever. America is being robbed by some 3rd world country who does not give a damn about life. I have been wathcing the chronicles of Bush's war. It is inconceivable to even imagine how 3 men (Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld) have successfully undermined the founding principals integrity of America. It sickens me to watch thru this history of 8 years. It sickens me even more to think of the 4000+ men and women our nation has lost. All for what? Bush's idea of American Glory! He is a sick minded man and he along with Cheney and Rumsfeld should be held accountable for their actions. They should be tried for War Crimes.
