You know what else he's doing that's pretty neat? He's got this gig on the Sirius satellite radio network where he does a one-hour DJ stint each week. It's called "Theme Time Radio Hour." (No linky, but if you're really curious, you know how to use teh Googletubes better than I do.) Mrs. Bukko, who loves Dylan even more than I do, downloads these broadcasts and rips them onto CDs for us to play when we're in the car. (I get SO sick of hearing nothing but the Greatful Dead and Rolling Stones bootlegs, and she finds my Aussie punk bands to be ear-jarring.) The radio shows are Dylan making wisecracks in his gravelly voice, and showing surprising literary knowledge (which is only surprising to me, because I overlook the fact that he's a genius poet.) The songs he chooses -- on a theme like "Blood" or "Happy" -- range from Mississippi blues to modern experimental. Way cool. He must be doing it just because he feels like it. He certainly doesn't need the money, with the residuals from that Victoria's Secret special...

Is he still doing that show? And what's the Victoria's secret thing? Never heard of that!

This Salon article titled "Tangled up in boobs" explains it.
