Finally Some GOOD News

The Spanish Socialist have won that country's general elections, following a sombre day of voting in the aftermath of recent bombings blamed on Al Quaeda. The Socialists opposed Spain's involvement in the Iraq invasion and have pledged to withdraw troops if the UN does not take control on Jun 30th this year.

Let's hope this is a sign of things to come for Bush, Blair and Howard.

According to the BBC:

"Outgoing Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar and his wife were booed and jostled as they arrived to cast their votes.

As he tried to address supporters, he was drowned out by cries of 'manipulators', 'liars' and 'peace'.

The Spanish government backed the US-led invasion of Iraq last year despite polls showing 90% opposition to it from the Spanish public. "
