Sometimes I wonder how these people can can stand themselves -- I mean the hoaxers AND teh meeja.
Do they think life is all about the game; it's all a show, a put-on, a shamfest, and that the truth will never get out? Is the 15 seconds of fame all that they're focused on, with no thought about the shame that comes after? Or perhaps it's just that they're so amnesiac in their own lives -- they can't recall who was president in 1988, so they assume no one else will remember that they pulled off/bought into a bag of flaming bullshit in 2008.
The moment is all that matters. Truth? Truth is what anyone says it is. Objective reality doesn't exist in their world, the shalloworld of so many Americans (and Kath&Kim Australians.) And probably with chavvy Poms, nationalistic-brainwashed Russians giggle-trendy Japanese, materially-seduced Chinese...
It's too early in the morning for me to be going on a curmudgeon-rant.
