Prisoner Abuse: So What?

Bush says, 'What took place in that Iraqi prison was the wrongdoing of a few, and does not reflect the character of the more than 200,000 military personnel who have served in Iraq since the beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom.'

Perhaps not. But it perfectly reflects the arrogance, hypocrisy and corruption of the Bush administration, which is the real reason why this furore of outrage will not die down.

The guards in the prisons were doing what the CIA told them to do. That's why they wont be held accountable.

The CIA agents were doing what their bosses told them to do. That's why they won't be held accountable.

And their bosses have a stranglehold on the Congress, the Senate and the White House, not to mention the Supreme Court and Wall Street. They don't give a @#$& about the Constitution. The Democrats are too weak or too complicit to demand the truth. And the people of the USA are, for the most part, too ignorant, distracted, lazy or brainwashed to care. That's why they won't be held accountable.
