Neo-cons Plead For Four More Years... or More

I wonder how many people reading Stephen Morris' "Clinton's calamities" article in today's Murdoch-owned "The Australian" newspaper realised that the author is in fact a member of the neo-conservative movement that planned, promoted and prosecuted the disastrous invasion of Iraq?

Morris says Clinton "had little conception of foreign policy" and "placed excessive faith in international institutions to resolve conflicts."

Well, abandoning the UN, the International Criminal Court and other noble international institutions has not done anybody much good at all, has it? Consider the outcome if Bush had backed the UN Weapons Inspectors and pressed for Saddam to be brought before an international court - it certainly couldn't be worse than what we see today.

Morris also derides Clinton because "his precondition for any military action was minimal American casualties."

Like Bush, Blair and Howard, the neo-conservatives are blithely indifferent to the mounting casualties in Iraq, whether they be US, Iraq or any other nationality. They continue to advocate US global empire and further pre-emptive invasions for strategic purposes. We cannot allow these people to maintain an influence on those in power. Media outlets like the Australian, who were duped into supporting the illegal invasion of Iraq, should not allow these fools any further opportunites for propaganda.
