Well John Howard DOES Lie, Doesn't He?

An Australian website called JohnHowardLies.com has recently been spotlighted in the media amid rumours that it was backed by the federal opposition. But the website denies these claims, saying that Labour web sites may have links to them but that is not their responsibility. The website owners declare:

"We are a growing group of Australians who are sick of the decline in the political discourse where misrepresentations, distortions and straight out lying is now all too familiar. Honesty has given way to “spin” which now appears to have made way for actual untruths and lies. The traditions of Westminster and Ministerial responsibility have all but disappeared... Who can forget “kids overboard”, the “never ever GST”, “weapons of mass destruction” and “Medicare will be kept in its entirety”."

No doubt helped by the media attention, the website has had more than 300,000 hits and thousands of emails in the first two weeks. Bring on the elections, Johnny Boy!
