GOD MISLED ON IRAQ WMDs!

Finally, the US Senate report on Iraq is delivered. Senator Pat Roberts, the Kansas Republican who heads the committee, said the evidence presented by the CIA for going to war with Iraq was all dreadfully wrong, but he says the Bush White House was not to blame.

What about the neo-conservatives who rose to positions of power within the Bush White House, who had been planning such an invasion of the Middle East for over a decade, who set up an Office of Special Plans to filter all this faulty intelligence and hand-pick the worst of it? Just a coincidence.

What about the decision by Bush, Cheney, Powell and other to always favour this hand-picked data (WMDs, Niger nukes, 45-minute warnings, etc) over other, more sceptical intelligence? Just a coincidence.

Pat Roberts calls this a "global intelligence failure," implying that the whole world believed the intelligence Bush used to go to war with Iraq was right. What about the millions of anti-war protestors around the world? What about the countries who argued against the invasion at the UN, or those who were only reluctantly pressured into joining the "coalition of the willing" despite strong objections by their citizens?

Just a coincidence?!?

What about Bush's insane declaration that God Almighty told him to smite Saddam?

Was God, too, misled by the CIA???
