Too Harsh?

For 300 years Britain has outsourced mayhem. Finally it's coming home | George Monbiot | Comment is free | The Guardian
The great British adventure – three centuries spent pillaging the labour, wealth and resources of other countries – is over. We cannot accept this, and seek gleeful revenge on a government that can no longer insulate us from reality.

I suppose that's why you're on this continent, Gandhi. Your rellies, at some point, were part of the outsourced labour and mayhem.

(I notice that Oz didn't get a mention from Monbiot, though. Even Ja-fucking-maica got a nod. Perhaps Australia was such a minor contributor of revenue, or even a net drain on the Empire...)

Without slagging Monbiot, I reckon the Aborigines still don't merit a second thought in the UK worldview. The continent was just here waiting to be exploited, and the Aborigines were just like dust on the surface that could be blown away without a thought.
