Guantanamo and other US gulags should be closed:

The lawyer for Australian Gitmo detainee David Hicks is calling for the USA to close down Guantanamo Bay:

"It has never been acceptable to attempt to take people beyond the rule of law, which the American administration, with the full support of the Australian Government, had attempted to do. There is no point in holding them in Guantanamo Bay any longer because Guantanamo Bay, as seen in the Supreme Court decision, is now within the American court structure."

The same applies to all the other secretive US detention centres around the world.
