Evil Empire? Or Favoured Trading Partner?

More than a half million people clogged Hong Kong's downtown streets yesterday demanding full democracy and angry at China's communist leaders for denying them the right to directly elect their own rulers.

Unfortunately for them, China is the new driving engine of the world economy and Western leaders are no longer game to challenge China on Human Rights or other issues.
