White House disowns anti-Kerry war record ads.

Spokesperson Scotty McLellan vigorously asserted that the Bush White House does NOT support the following attacks on John Kerry, thus ensuring these idiots make the headlines anyway:

"'Swift Boat Veterans for Truth' accuses Senator Kerry of exaggerating his bravery in the Vietnam War, lying to get the first of his three Purple Hearts and his Bronze Star. Senator Kerry was also awarded a Silver Star.

The group also charges that, by speaking against the war when he returned to the United States and alleging that US soldiers had committed wartime atrocities, Senator Kerry betrayed US forces that were still in Vietnam.

One of the 13 veterans in the ad says Senator Kerry's 'account of what happened, and what actually happened, are the difference between night and day'.

The Kerry campaign has branded the allegations 'garbage' and noted that none of the men levelling the accusations and claiming 'I served with John Kerry' actually served in Kerry's patrol boat.

Kerry's former crewmates have aggressively campaigned on his behalf, appearing at his side at political rallies and telling audiences stories about Kerry's wartime exploits. "

This kind of low debate highlights the fact that - despite the evidence on paper, despite two decades of anti-Vietnam-War movies, despite what most people call facts - many people in the USA do not believe that the USA actually LOST the war in Vietnam.

And even if they do acknowledge that, many say the only reason they lost is because the pink-ass commie liberals wouldn't let the US Army have enough firepower to do the job properly and finish the enemy off.

I know this because I have tried to argue with these people. These are the people who love Bush, think the war in Iraq is going just great and would happily vote for the next invasion. Confronted with facts, they just get angry and start calling you names. What are you supposed to do with people like that, eh?

Well, you could start by not dignifying them with media headlines and turning their venemous lies into a story with legs.
