The Washington Post has a great roundup of news stories taking an unprecedentedly critical view of Bush and his administration.
Emboldened by the massive shift in public mood, it's not only the media but also GOP voices who are speaking up. One small example from The Charleston Gazette, which quotes a mayor saying the invasion of Iraq after 9/11 was "like invading Mexico after Pearl Harbor"
... it’s now clear to all but the most warlike hawks that President Bush’s invasion of Iraq was a blunder for America. Nearly 2,000 young Americans are dead, thousands more have been maimed for life, and taxpayers are stuck for $200 billion — all for a conflict that has no known purpose. What has triggered this sudden outburst of animosity?
Bush's allies abroad are also sensing a change in the wind, with both Britain and Australia preparing to pull out troops (even if you did hear it first via the Japanese media). Even Afghan president Hamid Karzai is jumping ship, calling for a major re-think in the way the USA fights terrorism.
