Back To The 1700's

The Australian government's appalling plan to imprison asylum seekers aboard floating detention centres takes our country back more than 200 years, to the days when the British Government used to house criminals on aging vessels in the Thames. Eventually the British decided to ship them all the way to Australia, and a nation was born. How disgraceful that we should now inflict similar misery on new-comers to our shores.
