Was Wilson The Target? Or Plame Herself?

You simply cannot persuade me that every last person involved in this did not know that the head of the Joint Task Force on Iraq's WMD at the CIA in 2003 was the person they were busy making sure was publicly outed.
Think about it. Join the dots...
"When Bush was first briefed that no WMDs had been found in Iraq, he was totally unfazed and asked few questions. `I'm not sure I've spoken to anyone at that level who seemed less inquisitive,' the briefer told the authors."
Bush insiders knew the WMD threat was exaggerated because they themselves set up an Office Of Special Plans to micro-manage the exaggeration. A person in Plame's position would have been "fair game" indeed.
