GOP leaders are now telling candidates: don't mention the war!
Meanwhile Bush, who chose to make the war the central issue of the past two months in the belief that it would be a winner, is now desperately trying to run interference:
"If you are asking about accountability, it rests right here --- that's what the 2004 campaign was about ... if people are unhappy about it, look right to the president," Bush said at a White House news conference.Of coure, if you really want accountability, you won't get it from this administration. So vote for impeachment!
