Where Do Bush Lies Go To Die?

What happens to all the unexplained Bush lies? They just seem to disappear from the media... Whatever happened to Bush's attempts to defend his National Guard record? And what about this:

"Last week, the White House said it had no record that Mr. Bush had even been in the Situation Room that day and said the president had no recollection of such a conversation."

Now they admit the conversation did take place. So are their records faulty? Is Bush's memory faulty? OR was it just a knee-jerk reaction lie as usual?
