Vengeance Is Mine, Says Uncle Sam:

The US government is working on a post-nuclear holocaust solution that will provide "instant gratification through vengeance."

The idea is to analyze the fallout of a nuclear explosion to determine where it came from, so the US can nuke them in return as quickly as possible.

Anyone who remembers the US public's (and/or the US media's) thirst for retribution after 9/11 will be concerned. Polls showed that many people were determined to go and bomb someone like Saddam Hussein, whether or not he was responsible.

Considering how unreliable the "solid proof" on WMDs in Iraq has been, imagine how embarrassing it would be if Washingto nuked Beijing only to realise later that they got it wrong.

Madness, total madness... (taxpayer funded, of course).
