Hypocrites, Liars

Reuters: "President Bush said on Tuesday he will not hand over former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein to the interim Iraqi government until adequate security is in place to ensure he does not escape trial.

Bush said the United States would not allow 'lax security' to jeopardize plans for Saddam to be tried by a special tribunal. "

So the USA, which has been responsible for the woefully poor security in Iraq since their illegal invasion, is now criticizing their own Iraqi puppet police forces for not providing adequate security, but now it's the Iraqis' fault? Hypocrites!

Bush also backed up a repeated claim by Cheney that Saddam had ties to Al Quaeda:

"Bush cited the presence in Iraq of Islamist militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi as "the best evidence of (a) connection to al Qaeda affiliates and al Qaeda."

So you invade and destabilize the country, making it a target for militant anti-American terrorists, then use that as proof that Saddam had connections to terrorists (when no other link has been proven). Such brazen liars!
