Australia to Launch New Inquiry Into Iraq WMD

Little old Australia has once again followed the US and UK lead, announcing a new review into the "intelligence errors" that were used to justify these countries' invasion of Iraq.

"The Government agrees with the [investigative] committee that the independent assessment should be conducted by an experienced former intelligence expert," Mr Howard said in a statement.

"I shall indicate the person appointed to carry out this task and the terms of reference of the inquiry shortly."

Sounds fair to me, why shouldn't Howard be in charge of the whole thing? After all, he was in it up to his ears...
