Are These Guys Just Plain Nuts, Or Is This A Strategy?

Since Bush first started labelling people who recalled the facts about his administration's pre-war comments "revisionist hostorians", there has been a consistent effort by Republicans to turn the truth on its head.

While this tactic seems utterly ridiculous to serious analysts, it's obviously not intended for our consumption. It's aimed at the channel-flipping masses who digest their news in five second bursts, and it's aimed to confuse them.

"Hitler? Was that Bush or Kerry?.."

There have been consistent accusations linking Bush with Hitler. It's dangerous to his re-election and unfortunately, there are far too many similarities for the accusations to just disappear.

So now Republican Congressman Tom Cole (Oklahoma) says a vote against President Bush's re-election is like supporting Adolf Hitler during World War II. He also claims that, 'If George Bush loses the election, Osama bin Laden wins the election.'

Buzzflash takes a look at the story here.
