Republicans Talking Impeachment

And the majority of US voters are right behind the idea.

Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA), via Think Progress:
Impeachment is a remedy. After impeachment, you could have a criminal prosecution, but the principal remedy, George, under our society is to pay a political price.
The non-partisan Congressional Research Service has already concluded that:
the administration’s justification for the warrantless eavesdropping authorized by President Bush conflicts with existing law and hinges on weak legal arguments.
Meanwhile, AfterDowningStreet.org has commissioned a new Zogby poll. The question:
"If President Bush wiretapped American citizens without the approval of a judge, do you agree or disagree that Congress should consider holding him accountable through impeachment."
The result:
52% said YES. 43% disagreed, and 6% said they didn't know or declined to answer. The poll has a +/- 2.9% margin of error.
