You Can't Make This Stuff Up...

So the American Association of Petroleum Geologists has an annual journalism award, see? And it's supposed to be "recognition of notable journalistic achievement in any medium which contributes to public understanding of geology, energy resources, or the technology of oil and gas exploration", right?

So who do they give the award to this year?

Michael Crichton, whose fictional novel, "State of Fear", profiles global warming as a puffed-up threat imagined by a conspiracy of evil scientists.
